Carrier Field Sales Manager – Capacity Management SWR

As an integral part of CHR team Capacity Key Account Management, the Carrier Field Sales Manager owns a geographical transportation market sales responsibility towards transport companies in RO& BG.

The successful candidate is a key enabler for the carrier’s relationship development and continually identifies new business opportunities with transport companies.

 as well as operational, and automation process improvements in relation to our carrier teams requirements in a cost-effective environment.

The Carrier Field Sales Manager works with (local Branch Managers and/or CKAM) on sourcing of new transport partners, support development of growth accounts. This role requires travelling and allows remote working with regular monthly meetings with team.

This role will also enjoy cross regional exposure on ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities

  • New carrier leads generation: Searching, identifying and appointing new carriers to develop in those lanes where their inclusion and/or change is necessary
  • Consolidating and maintaining the commercial relationship with new carriers of the assigned market
  • Assisting the Network by identifying carriers for new business and ongoing projects.
  • Carrying out commercial visits to the assigned markets (RO & BG)
  • Build strategy around carrier allocation especially but not limited to BANK HOLIDAYS PERIOD and Peak season.
  • Bring additional capacity for certain, but not limited to regions or add Spot capacity to our portfolio.
  • PIPELINE: Maintain accurate reporting on your new carrier sales pipeline.
  • Report on conversion rate Leads-CHR carriers.   

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • This role suit someone who enjoys dailycontact with wide range of both: internal customers (customers team managers) & external stakeholders (decision makers in transport companies)
  • High-quality social skills / networking skills (ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others)
  • Knows the culture of Logistics and has a vast knowledge of logistics with a strong focus on Road transportation.
  • 3-5+ year’s working experience in Transportation, preferably in a similar role
  • Experience in Road transportation
  • Negotiations/logistics procurement skills/tender management experience
  • Professional written skills to prepare Monthly Carriers reviews/meetings on higher level
  • Strong analytical skills (able to analyze prices, data and make price proposals)
  • Fluent in English and German/Romanian/Bulgarian.
