Carrier Integration Manager

The Carrier Integration Manager will focus primarily on integrating Carriers and Freight Forwarders. Daily tasks will focus on leading integration projects from beginning to end, working with other groups as necessary to complete projects successfully. At a macro level this role is responsible to update our integration strategy for each respective mode of transport, investigate and propose new technologies on how to aggregate data more efficiently and cost effectively and maintain competitor awareness. This individual will be required to effectively lead and manage meetings both in person and over the phone, influence without authority and make dynamic decisions..

Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead and facilitate project meetings with external providers, customers and TMC
  • Own the carrier integration strategy and direction
  • Utilize traditional project management fundamentals
  • Identify the need for allocation of resources within assigned projects
  • Document and follow up on meeting notes and actions conducted as part of project execution
  • Build rapport with project team and stakeholders
  • Contribute toward development of tools, methodologies, and presentations for TMC Implementation
  • Maintain project plans including all deliverable dates and resource requirements
  • Track and report project financials (budgeted vs actual) for allocated resource hours and billings
  • Oversee progress of project team resources, including functional support groups
  • Successfully transfer knowledge to Operations Team as documented throughout project lifecycle
  • Provide support to Operations Team during Go-live
  • Ensure compliance to SOC process

Qualifications

  • Meeting management skills of: relationship management, presentation, discussion, documentation and accountability are essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Working knowledge of BtoB protocols for Ocean and Air; EDI, API, XML
  • Experience working in multiple modes; Air, Ocean, Truckload, LTL, Rail, Parcel
  • A minimum of seven years’ experience working in Supply Chain or Logistics related field
  • 5 years’ experience in a technical project management or project management role preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint & Project (desired, not required)
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%
  • Flexible hours (some weekend/late hours may be required)
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate across functional groups and expertise internally and externally
