C.H. Robinson seeks an Indirect Procurement Manager for Technology. In this role, your tech sourcing expertise, encompassing platforms like Workday, Microsoft, Oracle, and other solutions, will shine. Responsibilities:
Analyze spend data and business needs for strategic sourcing
Identify opportunities for cost savings within existing contracts, with a specific emphasis on tech-related areas
Provide insights into category spend to inform strategic decisions, particularly in tech expenditures
Initiate competitive bidding in historically unexplored tech sectors
Manage RFPs/RFQs, assess proposals, and recommend suitable tech suppliers
Collaborate with business and tech stakeholders to define requirements and negotiate contracts
Prioritize projects, pre-qualify tech suppliers, and provide guidance to stakeholders
Negotiate contracts with tech suppliers, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
Maintain awareness of tech-related policies and ensure compliance
Leverage networks to uncover new tech sourcing opportunities and advocate for alternative tech suppliers, influencing stakeholders effectively
Tech Sourcing Areas:
Enterprise applications (such as Workday, Oracle, Microsoft, Coupa)
Hardware and Infrastructure
Software (SW) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions
Services (contractors and consultants)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in Sourcing and Procurement, including at a minimum of 3 years in a technology-related procurement role
Minimum of 3 years’ experience sourcing and contracting for technology and/or technology-specific initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven success in negotiating favorable tech contracts
Expertise in tech categories with active engagement in industry forums
Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
Results-driven with a metrics-focused approach to purchasing and contracting
Adaptable to change in large, matrixed organizations
Detail-oriented with analytical capabilities
