If this sounds like you, we might have a great fit as a Manager Finance Operations. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for financial operations activities including or specific to one or more of the following: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Cash Application, Credit, Collections, and Travel and Expense. You will ensure the team achieves productivity, quality, and service objectives by aligning resources and defining role expectations in order to provide branch financial support and problem resolution. You will measure, monitor, and communicate results while managing performance and support employee growth and development. You will be responsible for continuously evaluating and improving operational processes.


  • Reviews workflow and workloads and adjust where necessary to optimize use of resources
  • Aligns resources to support efficiency and effectiveness goals
  • Serves as an escalation point for exceptions
  • Reviews operational performance reports to identify areas of opportunities
  • Oversees the creation and execution of action plans for performance improvement
  • Develops, implements, and enhances Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to meet internal and external operational excellence goals
  • Continuously evaluates operational processes for effectiveness and efficiency or to remove waste, reduce cost or increase quality
  • Oversees the implementation of identified areas of improvement
  • Leverages technology to improve efficiency; ensure an understanding of available tools and systems to improve work processes and automation
  • Establishes and/or reinforce a culture centered on quality, process, and efficiency
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to establish a pipeline, recruit, select, and onboard qualified and diverse talent
  • Manages annual merit and equity programs for assigned team to align compensation with performance results
  • Outlines employee role accountabilities and expectations; manages performance to drive the right behaviors and improve results and provides useful real-time coaching, feedback, and mentoring, development activities and stretch assignments; supports employees with problem resolution
  • Encourages employee feedback through formal and informal channels. Acknowledges and takes action on feedback to drive a trusting culture of open two-way communication, inclusivity and continuous improvement
  • Gathers data and provides input to support the creation of financial performance goals, including a revenue and expense budget, for the team

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Financial Reporting/Operations or related experience
  • Minimum 2 years of leading and managing teams
  • At least 2 years of logistics industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
  • CPA, CCE or other accounting and credit-related certifications
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Strong ability to partner, consult and influence multiple stakeholder groups
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external clients across functional company teams
  • Ability to effectively implement changes
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Ability to automate processes
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
