DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform internal audits of entries filed with Customs for import shipments, per department’s audit procedure
- Coaching for audit incident corrections to avoid negative trends
- Compile metric reports to measure performance on an individual user basis
- Identify trends and report accordingly
- Use department tools to feed document tracking such as blanket statements. (i.e. Exp. Document List)
- Monitor ADD/CVD Non-reimbursement statements, Census, and CBP ABI Comments
- Ensure proper document retention practices per CHR recordkeeping procedure
- Support QLCB on special projects
- Provide PSC, petition, and protest execution support
- Maintain all export and import compliance policies and procedures including internal/external SOPs and other compliance related documentation
- Respond to CBP and PGA requests for information regarding import and export transactions
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Minimum of one year of entry writing experience
- Become or maintain Certified Customs Specialist status with the NCBFAA
- Proven history of developing and maintaining customer relationships
- Self-motivated with ability to work without supervision
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to positively adapt to rapid changes
- Ability to be a self-starter with proven experience accomplishing goals with little direct oversight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
