We are looking for a Senior Manager Service Lineto join our team in Poland Domestic CEE Shorthaul region.

The Senior Manager Service Lines primary responsibilities will be to oversee the execution on existing business, improvement upon existing processes, work with functional leadership to drive quality and efficiency within the existing process, manager supplier and warehouse relationships, develop the team, and drive growth. The Senior Manager Service Lines will work with Service Line resources, their peer group and regional leadership to execute upon the strategic direction set forth by Service Line leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Sets the vision for the region business plan; provides input when needed

  • Measures, monitors, and communicates updates regarding performance against specific initiatives or components of the consolidation business plan

  • Creates sales and business development strategies working with the commercial network for customer opportunities and assisting in customer sales calls when necessary

  • Measures, monitors, and communicates updates regarding performance against specific initiatives or components of the consolidation business plan

  • Has accountability to financial and cost to service metrics within the region

  • Works with Service Line leadership to set financial performance goals for the region, including revenue and expense budgets for multiple cost centers

  • Sets the strategic direction to ensure a positive experience for both internal and external customers

  • Develops and adapts operating structure, leverages technology and internal resources to accommodate changes in strategy, business needs or as new business requires 

  • Manages the team of 50-60 reports (incl. 2-3 direct reports) in multiple locations in Poland (across 3 locations)

  • Monitors team progress and helps to remove obstacles 

  • Ensures personnel are familiar with the overall strategy

  • Assesses and understands market opportunities, trends and how market conditions impact business performance and financials 

  • Cultivates relationships with key stakeholders externally and throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of transportation experience

  • Minimum 3 years of leading and managing teams of direct and indirect employees

  • Financial management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience leading leaders

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Proven track record of applying the following skills: 

    • Define and execute on strategy

    • Selling both internally and externally

    • Pricing, reporting, and analytic abilities

    • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong customer service skills

    • Strong decision-making skills

    • Team management experience

    • Managing geographically dispersed structure

    • Ability to use financial and operating data as a basis for decision making and process building

  • Able to effectively prioritize work with multiple stakeholders and deadlines 

  • Understands the consolidation mode, and vision for its future
