Responsibilities

Software EngineerIII– Corporate Finance and Delivery 

As a Software EngineerIIIon the Corporate Finance Delivery Team (CFDT) at C.H. Robinson, you will collaborate with our internal finance and accounting stakeholders, external consultants, and other technology teams to design and build finance applications & integrations.

You’llworkclosely with the agile team located in Eden Prairie, MN, USto make technology decisions.We are looking for someone excited about using the newest cloud tools and technology to build highlyscalable, stable, andaccurate products.

The solutions you build will be responsible for processing every financial transaction at C.H. Robinson!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow establisheddesignsanddevelopfeatures and functionality to satisfyour customers, business, and engineering requirements 

  • Partner with product managers, stakeholders, and architects to analyze andunderstandhigh-level requirementsand their technical designs

  • Proactively seek mentorship from othersand share knowledge when possible

  • Lead interactive&in-depth code reviewsand utilize source control best practices to track changes

  • Define interfaces and develop code/testsfor modules acrossproducts

  • Contribute to the organization’s technical patterns, standards, and best practices

  • Help define strategies for developing robust, maintainable, and tested software

  • Proactively troubleshoot applications, identify performance/availability issues, and provide effective options for resolution

  • Develop and maintain thorough technical documentation for features

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • +3 years of professional experience using.NET

  • Knowledge andfamiliarity withevent-drivenarchitectureandobject-orienteddesignpatterns

  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)

  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment practices

  • Familiarity building and supporting high volume, distributed systems

  • Ability to design and developserviceswith adeep understanding of HTTP based standards/protocols and service-to-service architecture

  • In-depth experience with relational and non-relational, distributeddatabases 

  • Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast-paced, distributedenvironment while managing multiple priorities

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience

Preferred:

  • Experience delivering software in an agile environment 

  • Proficiency withunit and automated testing techniques 

  • Experience with data streaming architecture and frameworks (Kafka, ESB)

  • Experiencewith/interest intransportation, logistics, finance, or business systems
