Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer on C.H. Robinson’s Navisphere Vision team, your initial focus will be collaborating with IT business analyst’s and software engineer’s in North America writing an automated test suite that ensures high quality of our product and helps make our deployment pipelines more efficient. As you gain domain knowledge, you will have the opportunity to build and design new features and functionality as a full-stack software engineer.

The Navisphere Vision team is transforming the logistics industry by providing our customers with real-time visibility and connectivity to their global supply chains. You play a critical role in the development process by driving the quality of this industry-leading product.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, document, and maintain quality assurance plans and test cases by analyzing business and technical requirements 

  • Develop and maintain test automation tools, test data, frameworks, and infrastructure 

  • Execute automated system and integration tests to ensure software meet quality standards 

  • Provide innovative ideas and solutions in an ever-changing environment 

  • Prepare and execute manual test scripts, document test results and maintain test cases and needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with C#, MS SQL, JavaScript

  • Experience in one or more of the following technologies:  ASP.NET MVC, Web API

  • Experience with modern UI web development, for example ReactJS or Angular or Vue

  • Strong experience building REST web services

  • Strong experience with SQL Server and database design

  • Understanding and use of DevOps as part of the development

  • Understanding of authorization and authentication

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS, or related technical field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience writing scalable end-to-end test cases 

  • Experience developing automated system and performance tests 

  • Experience using QA tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Puppeteer, and WebDriver for web-based UI validation 

  • Experience using Version Control systems such as Git, GitHub, etc. 

  • Data Streaming and/or Messaging experience with RabbitMQ/Kafka/etc.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and Jenkins/Octopus

  • Experience with JMeter, BlazeMeter

  • Experience using test case management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc. 

  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment

  • Self-starter with strong desire to learn new concepts, processesand technologies 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
