Talent Acquisition Specialist (Global Forwarding)

We are looking for a consultative, organized and collaborative Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our Global Forwarding division.

In this role, you’ll lead full cycle recruitment for operations positions supporting our Global Forwarding division. In this role, you’ll serve as the main contact for hiring manager and interview teams, provide an excellent candidate experience and meet time to fill metrics. You’ll join a team of recruiters who share ideas, serve as coaches and mentors for one another and partner effectively with business leaders to bring in talented and diverse employees to C.H. Robinson.

Our main priority continues to be the health and safety of our employees. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position will be remote until further notice. We continue to monitor when it will be safe to return to the office in Wood Dale, IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Create full-cycle recruitment strategies for a wide variety of Global Forwarding positions and other roles in the company as needed.

  • Lead a thorough and strategic alignment meeting that informs the recruitment strategy and ensures alignment across the hiring team.

  • Write inclusive, marketable, and succinct job postings that attract a broad and diverse range of candidates.

  • Source candidates as needed to recruit talent to meet business needs.

  • Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment cycle. 

  • Train hiring managers and interview teams on best practices to enable an effective and inclusive interview process.

  • Build strong relationships with a wide variety of departments, establishing credibility as a trusted partner.

  • Partner effectively with Recruiters, HR Business Partners, Compensation Analysts and other HR Centers of Excellence to ensure a “One HR” approach to supporting business leaders.

  • Manage accurate and timely candidate information, reporting and communications in applicant tracking system (Workday).

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ recruitment experience

  • High school diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with global forwarding or freight forwarding roles

  • Experience building relationships and partnerships with high schools, colleges and universities to source and attract talent

  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment

  • Strong sense of urgency and solution orientation

  • Resourceful and self-directed

  • Organized with a strong ability to manage a high volume of open positions

  • Collaborative and team-oriented
