The Procurement Analyst will assist the Manager of Procurement Services in the day-to-day execution of procurement events. This role will support both external customer engagement as well as the internal network. The accountability spans from; data preparation, managing submission of rates, system configuration, providing users with training, development of strategy to presenting the customer deliverables.

Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Identify, build, and maintain relationships with internal and external network.

  • Transition relationships to carrier providers, customer stakeholders and service providers.

  • Provide benchmarking and KPI support with customers

  • Partner with stakeholders to gain commitment of project team resources, lead and facilitate project tollgate meetings, customer signoffs.

  • Document project scope, communications, and expectations

  • Support group methodology, tools, techniques, infrastructure, and presentations

  • Track hours of time spent by project, branch, and assignment in accordance with group guidelines

  • Assess and manage project risk and resolve project issues and escalate when needed

  • Quality checks and revie of customer documentation.

  • Assist other groups, especially sales and account management teams

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High school diploma or Graduate degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum 2 years of previous procurement, project management, or transportation experience/ experience in customer service in the logistics or supply chain industry

  • Ability to work flexible schedule on occasion, some night and weekend hours may be required

  • Ability to travel up to 5% (domestically and/or internationally)/Expected travel for 2 events per year

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to work cross-functionally to effectively influence and partner

  • Solid verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the appropriate audience

  • Solid negotiation and influencing skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects efficiently with strong attention to detail

  • Problem solving, analytical, critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions/recommendations

  • Knowledge of effective change management techniques

  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
