As a Senior Global Forwarding Agent (GFA) you will be responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle for complex and strategic accounts.  You will be a role model of global forwarding operational knowledge, experience, hard work ethic, supporter of business goals and objectives with excellent customer service skills and professionalism.

As a Senior GFA you will be a key customer contact and subject matter expert in ensuring all requests & customer requirements are met and answered accurately and timely. You will be accountable for your individually assigned shipments in addition to daily communication, reporting, and email management.   You will have the ability to influence the process of shipments from beginning to end and take ownership for their work.

On Your Next Adventure, You’ll:

  • Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo

  • Understand and input applicable financial components of shipments to generate correct billing for customers

  • Execute/Coordinate shipments and mentor others on how to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc.

  • Provide complex quotes based on needs of network

  • Provides track and trace service to customers and generates shipment documents

  • Builds great relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on issue resolution

  • Act as a key customer contact and subject matter expert

  • Act as a resource and expert to the department, branch, and network on customer requirements & process initiatives

  • Work effectively in a team environment and collaborate cross-functionally, building relationships with account management

  • Ensure customer SOPs are maintained and adhered to

  • Make recommendations to improve or implement technology solutions to recognize efficiencies and improve net revenue

  • Provide support to Sales Executives and Account Managers for customer reporting

  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

You’re a Great Fit if You Have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of OCEAN EXPORT experience (valuable Air freight)

  • Experience working in a FREIGHT FORWARDER

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)

  • Extensive industry and department knowledge (process & handling, regulations, international shipping, etc.)

  • Proactive, ambitious, hardworking, and analytical mindset

  • High level of attention to detail and ability to execute with 95% or higher monthly audit compliance and minimal unbillable charges

Como Senior Global Forwarding Agent (GFA), serás responsable de gestionar y operar el ciclo de vida de los envíos para cuentas complejas y estratégicas. Como GFA Senior, serás un contacto clave con el cliente y un experto en la materia para garantizar que todas las solicitudes y requisitos del cliente se cumplan y se respondan con precisión y puntualidad. Serás responsable de los envíos asignados individualmente, además de la comunicación diaria, los informes y la gestión de correos electrónicos. Tendrás la capacidad de influir en el proceso de los envíos desde el principio hasta el final y asumir la responsabilidad de tu trabajo.

En tu próxima aventura, harás lo siguiente:

  • Comprender los procesos, la documentación y la terminología involucrada en el envío internacional desde el momento de la emisión de la orden de compra hasta la entrega de la carga.

  • Comprender e ingresar los componentes financieros aplicables de los envíos para generar facturación correcta para los clientes.

  • Ejecutar/Coordinar envíos y orientar a otros sobre cómo cumplir con todos los requisitos SOP del cliente: aprobaciones de reservas, procesamiento de alertas previas, presentación de informes gubernamentales, ejecución de entregas, garantizar una facturación adecuada, etc.

  • Proporcionar cotizaciones complejas según las necesidades de la red.

  • Ofrecer servicio de seguimiento y rastreo a los clientes y generar documentos de envío.

  • Construir relaciones sólidas con los clientes, respondiendo de manera oportuna y haciendo seguimiento a la resolución de problemas.

  • Actuar como un contacto clave con el cliente y un experto en la materia.

  • Servir como recurso y experto para el departamento, la sucursal y la red en los requisitos del cliente e iniciativas de procesos.

  • Trabajar eficazmente en un entorno de equipo y colaborar de manera interfuncional, estableciendo relaciones con la gestión de cuentas.

  • Garantizar que se mantengan y cumplan los procedimientos operativos estándar del cliente.

  • Realizar recomendaciones para mejorar o implementar soluciones tecnológicas que reconozcan eficiencias y mejoren los ingresos netos.

  • Brindar apoyo a los Ejecutivos de Ventas y Gerentes de Cuentas para la presentación de informes al cliente.

  • Otras tareas o responsabilidades asignadas según los requisitos específicos del equipo y/o del país.

Eres un/a candidato/a ideal si tienes:

  • Experiencia mínima de 3-5 años en EXPORTACIÓN MARÍTIMA (valiosa experiencia en carga aérea).

  • Experiencia trabajando en una TRANSITARIA

  • Fluidez en español e inglés (escrito y verbal).

  • Amplio conocimiento de la industria y el departamento (procesos, manejo, regulaciones, envío internacional, etc.).

  • Mentalidad proactiva, ambiciosa, trabajadora y analítica.

  • Alto nivel de atención al detalle y capacidad para ejecutar con un cumplimiento de auditoría mensual del 95% o superior y cargos no facturables mínimos.
