C.H. Robinson is seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow a select portfolio of small to mid-size accounts.

In this role, you will build trusted relationships with account leadership, identify new opportunities, and expand services to maximize profitability and efficiency in the supply chain. You’ll be empowered to bring creative solutions, sell additional services, and provide exceptional customer service. Through data analysis, business reviews, and face-to-face interactions, you’ll drive growth and deliver strategic insights to ensure ongoing business success and client satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Retain and grow a portfolio of medium-sized accounts 

  • Implement new business opportunities, manage account setup, and ensure compliance

  • Build and maintain relationships at multiple levels within client organizations

  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and further penetrate accounts

  • Design customized solutions through in-person interactions with clients

  • Present pricing options and recommendations to account leadership

  • Manage customer expectations through the use of standard operating procedures, key performance indicators, and other metrics

  • Drive the development and execution of account plans and budgets, providing regular updates to the team

  • Analyze and prepare data for business reviews and participate actively in quarterly business reviews

  • Conduct business reviews, analyze trends, and recommend strategies to drive growth and enhance customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: 

  • 3 years of experience in global forwarding, ideally in international logistics, including sea and air freight forwarding

  • 2+ years of account management experience within the logistics industry

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with proven ability to negotiate at all levels

  • Ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Team player with the capability to deliver independent results

  • Skilled in persuasion, motivation, and influencing others

  • Self-driven, results-oriented, with a focus on quality and profitability

  • Strong focus on growth, sales, relationship building, negotiation, and financial acumen, with a long-term approach to customer relationships

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

  • Fluent in English
